Customer Service Representative or Receptionist must deal with inquiries on the phone. Receptionist must supply information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and customers. Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, responding to customer inquiries and making sure that any problems they are experiencing are resolved, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, filing, and faxing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Staff in this category also may have the title of department assistant, coordinator, or associate.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
Take a new order calls
Provide order placing information to callers
Follow up calls
Deal with queries and complaints from customers
General administrative and clerical support
Education and Experience
High school diploma generally required
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
